Sweet Pea was born and living with her mom Mina, a sealpoint Siamese, on the mean streets of Harlem when they were trapped by a volunteer.
They were both very shy at first, but Sweet Pea in particular responded to being hand-fed treats by our volunteers.
Friskie was left behind by a cat collector who sold the house and simply put all the cats and kittens outside in the winter cold. Friskie and his friends were further traumatized by a cruel neighbor with a slingshot, and many of the cats disappeared under suspicious circumstances!
Now Sweet Pea ADORES being petted, so much so that, if you put your hand near her, she'll push her face into it for snuggles! She's practically got a hand fetish!!! And she LOVES hearing you say her name! Isn't that adorable?!
