Walter never had any timidy with people but started purring as soon as he was picked up! He was found abandoned in an alley with a nasty cold, horrible conjunctivitis crusting his eyes closed and making him blind. This poor thing was just sitting there pathetically, waiting for whomever abandoned him to come back before he died of dehydration!
Friskie was left behind by a cat collector who sold the house and simply put all the cats and kittens outside in the winter cold. Friskie and his friends were further traumatized by a cruel neighbor with a slingshot, and many of the cats disappeared under suspicious circumstances!
Walter must have been separated from his mom too young, and not properly fed in his new house, which is why he was oso horribly sick. The coward who had him just ableft him outside instead of taking him to the vet! Luckily, our volunteer happened by and saved Walter from his fate, and nursed him back to wonderful health!
